The resolution commends the university for its status as a leading public university and requests that an enrolled copy be transmitted to the Chancellor and President of the University of Nebraska system.

Possible Impacts

1. Limiting access to higher education: The legislation recognizes the importance of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in providing education to the inhabitants of the state. However, this could also mean that the university may have limited resources and may not be able to accommodate all potential students, thereby limiting their access to higher education.

2. Economic impact on the state: The resolution highlights the large economic impact the university has on the state of Nebraska, including research expenditures and providing graduates for the workforce. This could mean that changes to the university, such as budget cuts or layoffs, could have a significant impact on the state's economy and the livelihoods of its residents.

3. Promotion of state culture and pride: The legislation recognizes the role of the university in celebrating the culture of the state and region, as well as the athletic programs that bring pride and joy to alumni and fans. Any changes to the university that may affect these aspects could potentially impact the sense of community and pride among residents of Nebraska.
