This bill directs the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate to arrange for the posthumous presentation of a Congressional Gold Medal in commemoration of Simeon Saunders Booker, Jr., in recognition of his achievements in the field of journalism, including his reporting during the civil rights movement and his social and political commentary. The medal shall be given to the Smithsonian Institution and made available for display and research.

A service member may terminate a lease for premises or for a motor vehicle, and may not be charged an early termination fee for doing so, if the service member (1) enters into the lease upon receipt of certain military orders for permanent change of station, deployment with a military unit, or individual support of military operations; and (2) subsequently receives, in response to a local, national, or global emergency, a stop movement order for an indefinite period or at least 30 days. For the bill to apply in the case of a lease for premises, the stop movement order must prevent the service member or the service member's dependents from occupying the premises.

Political Accountability and Transparency Act This bill restricts the use of certain political funds and revises requirements for political communications. Specifically, the bill * prohibits the personal use of political committee funds; * treats coordinated expenditures, as defined by the bill, as campaign contributions, thereby subjecting them to limits and disclosure requirements; * applies disclosure requirements for electioneering communications to Internet or digital communications; and * requires persons paying for political communications to make their best efforts to determine the true source of the funds used.

This resolution expresses support for democratization in Sudan and emphasizes that, until Sudan transitions to a civilian-led government, it will remain on the State Sponsors of Terrorism List and sanctions against the country will continue. The resolution also urges Sudan to pursue accountability for human rights abuses and release all political prisoners.

Shareholder Political Transparency Act of 2020 This bill requires an issuer of securities to disclose information related to expenditures for political activities. Specifically, issuers must disclose quarterly any such expenditure, including by identifying any candidate the expenditure was made in relation to and any trade association or other tax exempt organization that received dues or other payments that may be used for political activities. Annually, issuers must report on expenditures for political activities made in the previous year over $10,000 and information related to anticipated expenditures for the next year. The Government Accountability Office must report on the effectiveness of the Securities and Exchange Commission's oversight of these reporting and disclosure requirements.
