Housing for Women Veterans Act This bill reauthorizes through FY2022 the Supportive Services for Veterans Families program, which provides financial assistance for supportive services for very low-income veteran families in permanent housing or transitioning from homelessness. Under the bill, a specified amount of such funding shall have a focus on providing assistance to women veterans and their families. The bill also requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to complete an analysis of programs that provide assistance to women veterans who are homeless or precariously housed to identify areas for improvement in such programs.

Veteran Housing Opportunities and Unemployment Support Extension Act of 2020 or the Veteran HOUSE Act of 2020 This bill expands eligibility for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Veterans Affairs-Supported Housing (VASH) rental voucher assistance to homeless veterans honorably discharged or released from active military, naval, or air service regardless of length of service. According to federal regulations, HUD was granted authority in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2008 to waive or provide an alternative for the current requirement that HUD-VASH assistance be targeted to homeless veterans who have chronic mental illnesses or chronic substance-use disorders.

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to report on the availability of prosthetic items made for women veterans, including an assessment of the availability of such items at VA medical facilities.

The report shall identify websites, files, and applications that are not accessible to such individuals and include the VA's plan to make each of them accessible.

This bill allows a refundable tax credit for the owner of a dwelling unit that is occupied by a veteran on whose behalf rental assistance is provided by the Veterans Affairs Supported Housing program under the United States Housing Act of 1937. The credit is equal to 10% of the amount of rental assistance received by the person for the year.

Department of Veterans Affairs Oversight Enhancement Act of 2019 This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to report biennially on corrective measures taken to address concerns identified on the high risk list published by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The high risk list is a list of programs that are vulnerable to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement or that need transformation. The VA is also required to report annually on the implementation of recommendations from the GAO.

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to annually report on its Solid Start program, which is an outreach program for those in their first year of separation from the military. The report must exclude any personally identifiable information regarding a veteran.
