Bill Summary
A concurrent resolution is a type of legislation that is passed by both the Senate and the House of Representatives, but does not require the signature of the President. This specific concurrent resolution is regarding the printing of the pocket version of the Constitution of the United States. The resolution states that the 26th edition of this pocket version will be printed as a Senate document under the direction of the Joint Committee on Printing. In addition to the usual number of copies, a specific number of copies will be printed for the use of the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Joint Committee on Printing. The distribution of these copies will be done according to plans approved by the appropriate committees in each chamber. This resolution is signed by the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives.
Possible Impacts
1. The legislation may affect the printing and distribution of pocket versions of the Constitution, potentially limiting access to the document for certain individuals.
2. It may also impact the amount of money allocated for printing and distribution, which could have financial implications for taxpayers.
3. The approved distribution plans may prioritize certain groups or individuals in receiving copies of the document, potentially excluding others.
