Bill Summary
This bill, called the "Fort Frederica National Monument Boundary Expansion Act," aims to expand the boundary of the Fort Frederica National Monument in Georgia by 55 acres. This expansion will include land designated as "Proposed Acquisition Areas" on a specific map, which will be available for public inspection. The Secretary of the Interior is authorized to acquire this land through donation or purchase, but not through condemnation or eminent domain.
Possible Impacts
1. The expansion of the Fort Frederica National Monument boundary may affect the landowners or residents who live near the monument. They may need to adjust to new regulations and restrictions in the expanded area.
2. The Act may also impact visitors to the monument, as the expansion could lead to changes in access points and designated areas for activities.
3. The limitation on the use of condemnation or eminent domain could potentially affect developers or landowners who may have had plans to use or purchase the land within the proposed boundary expansion.
