Bill Summary

This bill, also known as the "American Wild Game and Livestock Protection Act", requires the Secretary of the Interior to issue a final rule regarding the removal of the gray wolf from the list of endangered species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. The bill gives a specific timeline of 60 days for the Secretary to issue this final rule, and also exempts it from any other laws or regulations that may impede its issuance. Additionally, this bill states that the decision and rule cannot be challenged in court.

Possible Impacts

1. This legislation could affect people who are involved in the livestock industry, as the delisting of the gray wolf as an endangered species may result in less protection for livestock from wolf attacks.
2. It could also affect people who are passionate about wildlife conservation, as the delisting of the gray wolf may lead to a decrease in efforts to protect and preserve the species.
3. This legislation could also impact the legal system, as it exempts the Secretary of the Interior and the rule from judicial review, which could limit the ability of individuals or organizations to challenge the delisting decision in court.
