Bill Summary
This legislation, known as a resolution, is providing funds for the expenses of the Committee on Education and Labor during the One Hundred Sixteenth Congress. The resolution states that a total of $15,519,002 will be available from the House of Representatives for the committee's expenses, including staff salaries. The resolution also specifies that of this amount, $7,638,701 will be available for expenses incurred from January 3, 2019 to January 3, 2020, and $7,880,301 will be available for expenses incurred from January 3, 2020 to January 3, 2021. The resolution outlines a process for authorizing and approving payments, as well as regulations for how the funds should be spent.
Possible Impacts
1. Limiting the amount of funds available for the Committee on Education and Labor could result in a decrease in resources and support for programs and initiatives related to education and labor issues, potentially impacting students, workers, and organizations that rely on these resources.
2. The session limitations specified in section 2 could affect the timing and availability of resources for the Committee, potentially impacting its ability to address pressing issues or make necessary changes during certain periods.
3. The regulations prescribed by the Committee on House Administration in section 4 could affect the allocation and use of funds, potentially impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of the Committee's work and its ability to address the needs and concerns of the public.
