Mr. Amodei of Nevada introduced the following bill; which was referred
to the Committee on Ways and Means

A BILL
To impose a 30 percent duty on sheep products and lamb products from
Australia or New Zealand.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. IMPOSITION OF DUTY ON SHEEP PRODUCTS AND LAMB PRODUCTS FROM
AUSTRALIA OR NEW ZEALAND.
(a) In General.--Beginning on and after the date that is 30 days
after the date of the enactment of this Act, in addition to each other
applicable duty, the President shall impose a 30 percent duty on each
sheep product and lamb product originating from Australia or New
Zealand.
(b) Definitions.--In this Act:
(1) Lamb.--The term ``lamb'' means meat, other than mutton,
produced from sheep.
(2) Lamb product.--The term ``lamb product'' means products
produced in whole or in part from lamb, including pelts.
(3) Sheep.--The term ``sheep'' means ovine animals of any
age, including ewes and rams.
(4) Sheep product.--The term ``sheep product'' means
products produced in whole or in part from sheep, including
wool and products containing wool.
(5) Wool.--The term ``wool'' means the fiber from the
fleece of a sheep.
