Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SENSE OF CONGRESS ON USE OF HYBRID-ELECTRIC ENGINE TECHNOLOGY IN MILITARY WHEELED VEHICLES. It is the sense of Congress that-- (1) the use of hybrid-electric propulsion technology in military wheeled vehicles has been shown to provide enhanced lethality to warfighters compared to the use of conventional engine technology in such vehicles; and (2) the Secretary of the Army should support efforts to implement hybrid-electric engine technology within the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle fleet of the Army. <all>
